So, naturally it's been sometime since I've updated this old monkey on my back of a blog. How does a blog become so burdensome you may ask? For those of you who can do this weekly, let alone DAILY! are just mortified I'm sure, but I am just not one of those people who find an oh-so-sweet release writing about my day or the things I'm into. I am a lover of reading blogs, mind you, just not of writing them. What do I fill my time up with instead?...
A little of this...
And a little of that...
So by the time we finally make it here...
I'm spent.
I have been revisiting a most amazing book by my second favorite author (Thomas Hardy being my first in case you couldn't live without knowing). (I love this book, and I will swear that if you stick with it, you will say the same!)
But, to complete my intentions here, we are all just dandy. Jack and Theo are loving the great outdoors (AKA: the park). Jack reports that he will now be a part-time entomologist (full-time garbage man) when he grows up. His imagination is WILD. Non-stop make-believe play can be a bit eerie sometimes. Theo is just starting to believe that dirt doesn't belong in his mouth, though he still sneaks tastes and totally knows I'm gonna yell at him as he does so. He can point to a good portion of his body parts, make a half dozen animal sounds and beside mama and dada, say "Dak"(Jack) "Baaa" (ball) "Buk" (book) "Nana" (no no) and does a pretty spot on "banana". We are moving across town this week-end so like in a month or 2 I'll update again...you think I'm kidding? By the way, is this background totally gross? I just can't tell anymore..

i love the background and maybe i'll give that book a try sometime.
theo and jack are adorable. jack is more himself in nursery and so we hear about monsters and stuff there too. once we were even inspired by one of his stories to sing "going on bear hunt." oh, and my little brother wanted to be a garbage man too. i think those big trucks are a lure; at least, let's hope it's not the garbage.
i love all the words theo is saying. what a great mom you are to exhaust those boys every day. that deserves a medal.
Ethan has been trying to get me to read that book for over 2 years.. I think that it is a Caitlin favorite too. I need to give it a try... I fear that I am not smart enough/patient enough however. Don't guilt yourself about the blog! Although I do check it regularly hoping for an update... I understand that life and kids are too busy to spend it at the computer!
Happy packing and moving! I am so excited for you. The extra space will be so nice.
Your boys are so cute! I miss them.. can't wait to see them!
Jennah-
Look at you, you little blogging wonder. I am happy that Jack wants to be a grabage man, because Evan just wants to be the garbage truck! I am not sure on the Bear Lake debacle, I will ask Mikey tonight and get back to you. Blog more!! I only made it halfway through "Brothers" while in Russia, but I have read "War and Peace" which is an accomplishment in itself. Guess I will try it again since our favorite show is off the air until 2009!!!!
LOST forever!
They're getting so big!!! Say, wouldn't you rather move across the country...
If you don't have the children's book "I Stink", Jack would love it! It's one of Sawyer's favorites. We miss you guys! Are you still coming out in July?
Ok, that's disgusting that Jack knows the word "entomologist." And by disgusting, I mean AWESOME!! I love Jack...and still miss you guys.
The background is funky, original, and refreshing. Keep it until you get bored, but pat yourself on the back for an out-of-the-box blog face.
Where are you moving to?
I think you're an excellent mom. It's admirable that you dedicate your time and energy to the boys instead of to the blog, when there's only so much to go around. You're doing great.
