My mom, brother Graham and family, cousin Andy and of course Jillair and Brycen were able to make it. The blessing was sweet and ...just perfect. What a lovely thing it is to name and bless your child as it allows you re-reflection on the wonders of life and the blessings of the gospel.<div>(Sorry about the random-ness of the picture order. His fiery red curly hair, of course!</div><div>2. His glowing white skin which sets off his fiery red hair, eye brows and golden eyes.</div><div>3. The fact that he is the living definition of a 2 year old- he's been known to bite, hit, spit, push, throw tantrums, climb on the counters, eat lost snacks found under couch cushions, etc. If it's been done, he's done it too.</div><div>4. He's a little dare devil/thrill seeker. I will think this is wonderful until the ED visits begin...</div><div>5. If enough time has gone by since eating them, he will down an entire can of carrots, green beans, peas in 2 minutes flat.</div><div>6. He looks devilishly handsome in a bow tie.</div><div>7. He can now actually sit still and allow his finger nails to be cut and will willingly lay down for a diaper change. You don't know how much this means to me.</div><div>8. He loves to "weedabuk" (read a book, for those of you who dont speak toddler) and has finally stopped taking them ALL off the shelf as he chooses one.</div><div>9. He passionately loves worms, usually turning one into 2 or 3. oops.</div><div>10. He is lost without his brother Jack who he emulates and annoys to no end, he regularly kisses his sister and wont leave her alone until he has secured a pacifier in her mouth, and even if he sneaks a little bite on my thigh as he runs and hugs my legs or leaves streaks of snot on his dads shirts as he is trying to leave for work, we wouldn't be complete without this guy in our lives. </div><div>Theo, you've kept us running since the day your were born. You whipped us into parents as you toyed with our sanity in those early months of your life. Yes, you were the baby most could say, "well at least our child doesn't do THAT" (scream for HOURS on end). But look at you now. You are just the greatest in our eyes. So easy to please, so tough, so sweet and loving. You are stubborn to no end and exasperate us regularly but Heavenly Father made you with that special angel face and beautiful smile to melt our frustrations and thank him daily for our sweet boy. You willing allow your kids to take each clean wipe out of the holder because you know it will keep them happy/quiet for about 3 minutes.<br />2. Your fishing poop, yes poop, out of the bath tub. AND your not even phased because it isn't the first time you've done this and your guessing it wont be the last.<br />3. You jump out of the shower to respond to the scream of your child only to find out it's because the Emergency Test System has interrupted his Caillou time.<br />4. Yes, your taking a shower at 12:30 in the afternoon. After all, it's the only time the younger 2 are napping at the same time and a program as stimulating as Caillou will keep your eldest engaged for 1/2 hour.<br />5. Your coming up with this idea for your next blog post in the shower, after the aforesaid emergency, because it's the only 15 minutes of your day that its quiet enough to think.<br />6. You've made peace with the fact that you bribe your kids with candy to get through grocery shopping. OK, OK, any shopping, car ride, church, visit to a friends...<br />7. You've also made peace with the fact that to get through dinner there is a pre-set number of bites of each food on their plate they need to have. At least there are clear expectations for both sides.<br />8. Dessert happily consists of Ready Whipp sprayed into each mouth. Makes for fewer bowls to clean.<br />9. You naturally help yourself to the above treat. A few times a day.<br />10. Your lunch consists of Goldfish crackers, string cheese and juice. And you feel proud knowing it consists of 3 of the 5 food groups!<br />11. You wipe your child's nose with the bottom of your sweatshirt and don't see the need to change it for the day. After all, you were smart enough to use the inside of it this time. (Don't pretend you haven't done the same)<br />12. You wish your husband was as satisified with your jeans, t-shirt and sweatshirt combo. you rock each day as you are.<br />13. You pay the neighbor girl 5 bucks to watch the boys outside for 1/2 hour so you can feed the baby in peace.<br />14. You feel slightly guilty writing a blog post when you've been dressing your kids from the pile of clothes on the floor in your room because clearly folding and putting away laundry isn't high on your to-do list.<br />15. You feel slightly more guilty writing a blog post as your child screams for you to get him out of the crib. However, the feeling of gratitude that he hasn't learned to climb out yet over powers that guilt.<br />15. Only now that all 3 are crying do you feel the need to get off the computer.jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-83903635521390772662009-03-23T06:29:00.001-07:002009-03-23T07:00:02.109-07:00Week 5Going from a 2 to 3 kid mom has forced me into accepting some normally untolerated behaviors and giving in to things I vowed to never do. To make it through the day, we (the boys) often take up to 3 baths, eat candy or cookies with breakfast (note, not <span style="font-style: italic;">for</span>, but <span style="font-weight: bold;">with</span>. I do fight some battles...), leave spilled Goldfish, milk, partially eaten apples etc. on the living room floor until bedtime, dig up the front yard, climb onto and into things we shouldn't (as seen below) and various other deviant and socially unacceptable behaviors. As I am forced to relinquish power over things simply because there is not enough of me to go around to fulfill everyones needs, I am noticing what a controll freak I am/was. This may be a good lesson for me in the long run, if I don't crack first. As we approach week 5 with our Harper, things are not getting back to normal, or normal for us, but are becoming more predictable at least. I can live with that.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX8LQMLDbzi039naMYdcJRlrsSvM2o-bBLmJnANOjnQj8ARqREG_BqI9NBnaKXbJhcrdr5KKjjikoe83xZPZle8-L80Qm5plVJ3Fad568KIFxAP3odjk5TTr1kjxR-r7ur40DUyE0sizDk/s1600-h/IMG_3732.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX8LQMLDbzi039naMYdcJRlrsSvM2o-bBLmJnANOjnQj8ARqREG_BqI9NBnaKXbJhcrdr5KKjjikoe83xZPZle8-L80Qm5plVJ3Fad568KIFxAP3odjk5TTr1kjxR-r7ur40DUyE0sizDk/s200/IMG_3732.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316375718753780850" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiPHP6gwQl5c2wP5w4CkE6i1R66FfvkkZD1pLUXpeT_U-AZB20yI3Llqxww_8IR3Z39MyeFEArwDGfR3FKXY_mHxAQFBQPUY1ZzySREvjCmsH4s9fgq-5f2FFFJppH4NB1aX4atf5I-iEX/s1600-h/IMG_3721.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiPHP6gwQl5c2wP5w4CkE6i1R66FfvkkZD1pLUXpeT_U-AZB20yI3Llqxww_8IR3Z39MyeFEArwDGfR3FKXY_mHxAQFBQPUY1ZzySREvjCmsH4s9fgq-5f2FFFJppH4NB1aX4atf5I-iEX/s200/IMG_3721.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316375704486862450" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC6FxRmF7K2nI_q0P8NCKc9VKd_yFMeCsNGaCrrK7x8bFQqIaYrlNhlxmOH7SXPtlqpz8i_2xVp3dfE9YTAGwT1qEVTvLXNDsoAag9t6VS6sF2XM08ZMnsm2f0W1L_EQ8c9MnXsnGNRSjB/s1600-h/IMG_3716.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC6FxRmF7K2nI_q0P8NCKc9VKd_yFMeCsNGaCrrK7x8bFQqIaYrlNhlxmOH7SXPtlqpz8i_2xVp3dfE9YTAGwT1qEVTvLXNDsoAag9t6VS6sF2XM08ZMnsm2f0W1L_EQ8c9MnXsnGNRSjB/s200/IMG_3716.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316375697090629362" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNp-muNgbVzHLRFUsRvj8mnsKKaA2rt_yTyQ84wgDJUbvgb9Ns55DtCG96yiVHlWjG8pltCuuJFeN0xg2YHTLz_lOV0UxGN47BhDPkKMM14yWg-jb0Q-e87uRfj6aoSoXyZHTNgBi7SX8l/s1600-h/IMG_3709.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNp-muNgbVzHLRFUsRvj8mnsKKaA2rt_yTyQ84wgDJUbvgb9Ns55DtCG96yiVHlWjG8pltCuuJFeN0xg2YHTLz_lOV0UxGN47BhDPkKMM14yWg-jb0Q-e87uRfj6aoSoXyZHTNgBi7SX8l/s200/IMG_3709.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316375686581693986" border="0" /></a><br />Though she may be the one to "blame" for throwing us off our rhythm and putting me down in the books as one of "those moms", it's all worth it to look at this beautiful face everyday. Since Blake needs to be out of town on Thursday and Friday and being overdue as it is, AND to fit into the OB's schedules etc., Monday was the best date we came up with. I feel a bit guilty as this is Jack's birthday as well but am trying to play it up to him as "SO COOL"! to have the same birthday as his sister. He's, however, very hung up on not wanting to share his cake or ANY of his presents with the baby. He did offer to "throw her just one crumb" though. It's a start. So after several promises that he would ALWAYS get his very own cake and NEVER have to share his presents, he's somewhat appeased. I now need to get over feeling as though I've trumped my big boy's special day. So that's the plan for anyone waiting to hear. Naturally I'll post pics as soon as I'm able. Till then.jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-74742294175172034102009-02-08T05:06:00.000-08:002009-02-09T18:04:32.450-08:00It's nearly someone's birthday!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizfdFTSLVBKMjFzk31D6CDTmNjE9_SpwI0sbEvOznokG_s_ztMjNcO3sDmumFBk5teYSoQZAQ830oShEbrhMlnh1rLCkLyD97EmVOSd6zml4UUymzLprihUFHNXJgNVltkc2ETFUMeS_sb/s200/GetAttachment-6.aspx.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300413320146343730" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh__SHUMfzbA8iSpeMDv-T-XYm193DlxOdlovPXVkLiAq9DtjX1pQhZYV2iYe4O-GbawWBCGFxWZXE0d2_1LLLdyCJZ6XPEV1gRqEOSjQ5nFjs-fstYFYVTnD-cVFDonG6Nx2_R_QFpUHUB/s200/GetAttachment-4.aspx.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300413316407833986" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg087_ZQZ_vqhIEGvYLTS1B5Uv7Naxg2Bz1efilKkS7udvWxfg_bnR-XcTtltK1_UPJ4tZ7bCi4uayRTnvpbK2jzWX7BIoW-KUoquyNuBAjcn9f1S149MPsjIYGGuxW-5EgCOHYPuvetqlf/s200/GetAttachment-9.aspx.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300979697641148450" /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWnk3Y4JU1v1Qbo20J_VzqHHQClyILWmN_OSRFxtVg2m73Q61iCrN_K-Ztgv87Fn1bLeXadMUzdrgLDIpXdk2RJMhTEuVTbojnn92sqMRWXxhyZe_to-OrU8L5wzRKdXuw19nV2qczbNb_/s1600-h/GetAttachment-10.aspx.jpeg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 162px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWnk3Y4JU1v1Qbo20J_VzqHHQClyILWmN_OSRFxtVg2m73Q61iCrN_K-Ztgv87Fn1bLeXadMUzdrgLDIpXdk2RJMhTEuVTbojnn92sqMRWXxhyZe_to-OrU8L5wzRKdXuw19nV2qczbNb_/s200/GetAttachment-10.aspx.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300979700347131122" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVBy_hou4-xZN7LQKP2qQy-SLdFTff9G1LMVwPh-tDNSE1FHV3rhk4AQd2OZWB9-FqI3afITuPSot8LF4xvOU_iG_mRucX5R6ciRc_6GH-LIyVpOuYeLZ-eRZejSiywC4via9D2Ex0F-mz/s200/IMG_3478.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300979698040423474" /><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 0, 0);"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhltJpX2i-sNI_ocLwIOqiUU04O4sLYSWf5HofoXIlHHr0U5Ael3YHG7Du2l9qmqEhhkAoRV78PUSUk2GJujXnUxxPsuyhdIB6IsbIUyg0eDm5Nhj_1adM0zeOpSLfjzCSfHMbwP5uqDG8e/s200/IMG_3479.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300979705230724354" /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 0, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><blockquote><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSfiTy72ikmcYV80xdH-mIb59yT0OhZE6-1IAIlFNrPBemreBEBOY_wGGiM_JYxJrHKHJUyfWJtUZq5qLVlCPfwsqiH4HbDnnjZ-Us83us8NHNMdK1nmj4EQlgElDj8FRL_jWxRmMz2hp0/s1600-h/GetAttachment-5.aspx.jpeg">I needed to get a jump start on Jack's birthday this year due to baby-coming-any-minute-now and fear of missing his celebration, which he would NEVER let me live down! We realize what a unique person you are. At just 4 years old, you understand so much of the world around you. However, I worry that your wisdom is making you grow-up too fast and become concerned about things you shouldn't be thinking about for another 10 years... You have been a little scientist from the start and I marvel at the things you are interested in. I hope you never loose your insatiable curiosity and appetite for the unusual wonders of the world around you. You make each day a new adventure for us. Every day and night your dad and I pray that you will be healthy, safe and happy. Please be happy! Please love life. Please choose the right. And please never wonder if your loved. You are so valuable to this family. You know how your brother goes crazy if you happen to not be right there when he wakes up or we run an errand on our own. He will call your name over and over until he sees you again. I'm sure your sister will be just as much in love with you as Theo is. You are special, matchless and irreplaceable. Theo's new found love of Play Dough and Jacks amazing computer skills on pbskids.org can (thankfully) occupy them for a while. No, not long enough for me to get a nap or cook a real meal, but enough to go to the bathroom in peace or make a quick phone call. Small blessings. I love that Theo can roll little ropes and balls and rarely eats them. And that Jack knows how to get himself back to his page should he hit a wrong button and has the patience to figure out a game now. I guess it slightly beats all the TV watching we could be doing and probably will be doing when Harper arrives. (How else will I be able to feed this baby in peace?) jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-40419158596407948482009-01-21T17:50:00.000-08:002009-01-21T18:00:18.116-08:00The wait is over; destiny calls...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgda710u8gpuLsiLBAFlCFTJ5iXTrCpggP1oC0U7uMw5pzBBKYhpO8ozN7nbkR8e4Tg5JrLk1ny9OPPyHhyphenhyphenwzXmphaoQymxhZYfZBkPEpvpaZYNTZkodLoyVhxyacuq28tEjWaMev7UU0Ls/s1600-h/Sawyer.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 141px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgda710u8gpuLsiLBAFlCFTJ5iXTrCpggP1oC0U7uMw5pzBBKYhpO8ozN7nbkR8e4Tg5JrLk1ny9OPPyHhyphenhyphenwzXmphaoQymxhZYfZBkPEpvpaZYNTZkodLoyVhxyacuq28tEjWaMev7UU0Ls/s200/Sawyer.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293931798653971474" border="0" /></a><br />Does anyone out there care that the season premier of LOST is about to start in 10 minutes? I could pee my pants from excitement (or is that just my pregnancy stress incontinence acting up?)! What has become of the island? of those left behind? What will become of Kate and Jack? What really happened to Claire? Did Jin die in the explosion? Is Benjamin Linus good or bad? Will Charlie return? But most importantly, will we see Sawyer shirtless? Or so I thought until my frustration was so great that my husband ("you know I don't believe in this whole blog thing") took a look at it. Have I mentioned how technically inept I am. Yes I have. So I have this beautiful pink background which when not reminding me of childhood stomach aches and my mothers favorite remedy, hints toward my soon to materialize daughter. Yikes. I mean YIKES!! In less than a month or there abouts I will have myself another baby. I say another baby because my Theo is still such a baby to me. Oh what will I do? I guess we will all simply "do". Aside from being thoroughly freaked out about it I am excited to see my baby girl. I do so love those frilly little clothes that have so generously been given to us. I will try to fix my background as soon as I calm down over my near loss. Until then try not to puke.jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-23544272769728321802009-01-12T17:51:00.001-08:002009-01-12T17:51:26.150-08:00what has happened to my blog?jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-51791445683229628032008-12-19T09:00:00.000-08:002008-12-19T09:30:06.768-08:00Where's the snow?<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 0);">Well, It's been some time since I've posted. Nothing very extraordinary has been going on so don't feel too left out. As seen below, we shopped for our Christmas tree on my birthday, spent some very chilly afternoons just playing outside and attempted to (very last minute) take some Christmas pictures of the boys. It's a very good thing that my husband is much more <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">savvy</span> and able to take pictures than I am or nothing would have come out. We have been "decked" and ready for Christmas for sometime now that Jack is <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">beginning</span> to think Christmas day is all a hoax for as long as it's taking to arrive. The patience of little boys... Theo has his"HO HO <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">HO's</span>" down and has basically given up attacking the Christmas tree. For some reason he hasn't even attempted to open any of the gifts from the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">grandparents</span> that are under the tree. I assume he doesn't understand that you can rip the paper, thank goodness. What we are really awaiting is a good snow storm. We have cut out more than enough snowflakes and have hung them ALL on the walls which is nice for a time but we are desperately seeking the real stuff. Jack gets up in the AM before I do and comes down stairs to turn on PBS. Lately he has started to watch the news for the daily weather report before flipping over to Reading Rainbow. He is my weather man as he gives me the forecast each morning. So we are actually expecting a good amount of snow today, tomorrow and Sunday (according to Jack). There will be some major <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">disappointments</span> if it doesn't materialize. Is 3 years old too young to loose faith in the weather man? He's <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">sooooo</span> handsome<br />2. He appreciates the little things<br />3. He has an incredible amount of patience<br />4. He's definitely more fun than mom<br />5. He's quiet and peaceful when everyone else, well, isn't<br />6. He's well read<br />7. He's the only one around here who knows whats going on in the music world<br />8. He's able to stick to a task for FOREVER<br />9. He's funny. Really, he is.<br />10. He loves us for some crazy reason<br />11. He randomly brings home flowers for his wife<br />12. He never complains when I buy myself something, in-fact he encourages it<br />13. He's not a stinky man (my pregnant <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">olfactories</span> love that)<br />14. He'll eat anything I cook<br />15. He's a simple man<br /><br />The list could go on but I'll keep it as minimally embarrassing as I'm able to for Blake's sake should he <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">accidentally</span> happen onto my blog. We do love Blake around here and hope his 32<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">nd</span> year is the best ever. I'm not a good story teller and please forgive me the punctuation but I need to recap a conversation with my Jack while in the Target parking lot today. As I was putting his seat belt on, Jack said, "No mom, I want a crop (cop) to stop us. What do you think he will really do?" (Naturally I try to instill fear by telling him I could go to jail or have to pay a lot of money, so he will keep his belt on. Apparently he's not buying.) So again I tell him that if a cop stopped us and he did not have his seat belt on I would have to pay a lot of money and the cop would tell me I wasn't being a good mom. Jack says, "But I think your a REALLY good mom!" Why do you think I'm a good mom, I ask. "Oh, because you bought me that ornament I wanted." Well how about because I cook you good foods, tell you bed-time stories, give you a bath, keep you safe. "Yes! Of course! And also because you put me in time-out sometimes." Oh really. Why does that make me a good mom? I ask. "Because, you know, sometimes I just need a time-out. Sometimes it's just good to take a break and be alone to think." <br />WHAT?? Is he kidding me? Who fed him that line? I just had to write that one down some place semi-permanent to never let him forget...jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-34060806499754516402008-11-07T08:33:00.000-08:002008-11-07T08:35:33.144-08:00<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102); font-family: verdana; font-size: 24px; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">GIRL!</span>jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-12457642368013290622008-11-04T12:18:00.001-08:002008-11-04T17:09:51.301-08:00The wrestling begins.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj060_KULLDZvBmqMlbIaxxfl3jfbE8QXqUAnnxEFo_AWNVzMbfHvAg7PigN2o2T-ryRxO2bsCE_VTn7MlVl3Op8xArDePgHyWFSb-QylV2X_ohTvoi6v7AF928wo1S-Pt15sW6M5VXxenn/s1600-h/IMG_2894.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj060_KULLDZvBmqMlbIaxxfl3jfbE8QXqUAnnxEFo_AWNVzMbfHvAg7PigN2o2T-ryRxO2bsCE_VTn7MlVl3Op8xArDePgHyWFSb-QylV2X_ohTvoi6v7AF928wo1S-Pt15sW6M5VXxenn/s200/IMG_2894.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264899958979505426" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja8b-aBqT3_howod3rBHH15o2sDQPJpPHdeJ4lD3Xuq5levlYeonmjsyhB0_fV4yNEAD1q9CVs3nn7xX4mDv-jzDUjzlH9Sz1iEOiV97iS60X9cYOotgVidLdqdDCgoXcXzDDstQFRIUMF/s1600-h/IMG_2896.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja8b-aBqT3_howod3rBHH15o2sDQPJpPHdeJ4lD3Xuq5levlYeonmjsyhB0_fV4yNEAD1q9CVs3nn7xX4mDv-jzDUjzlH9Sz1iEOiV97iS60X9cYOotgVidLdqdDCgoXcXzDDstQFRIUMF/s200/IMG_2896.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264899956150325458" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjupuaC_21HkYsqYW5kVdMgCUmNUTq1TlA8yLWUSL-XJsvxsZJiZxIW2G-yC16ojh_nHbW9EeBxiZbFUmTQKgGpvnnQrO4DB9eKAb0u67ljmKnnyJ6Qps0XAGGQPutXs-huWT5gfpeOBtKS/s1600-h/IMG_2895.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjupuaC_21HkYsqYW5kVdMgCUmNUTq1TlA8yLWUSL-XJsvxsZJiZxIW2G-yC16ojh_nHbW9EeBxiZbFUmTQKgGpvnnQrO4DB9eKAb0u67ljmKnnyJ6Qps0XAGGQPutXs-huWT5gfpeOBtKS/s200/IMG_2895.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264899944631579026" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVqQFLQIA6fTXJjM4WP_NYTIQanmY2Ht_AcsNa4oY5mlj4JT2ADpJilfLUcEPxGrjvMOPKbSnKG4S5nl7hyphenhyphengzaIMriKra9QR-VisUE_6KjLvGSzUq8XoglyaAhPNqlVS3gWAfDs68Kbmz/s1600-h/IMG_2897.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMVqQFLQIA6fTXJjM4WP_NYTIQanmY2Ht_AcsNa4oY5mlj4JT2ADpJilfLUcEPxGrjvMOPKbSnKG4S5nl7hyphenhyphengzaIMriKra9QR-VisUE_6KjLvGSzUq8XoglyaAhPNqlVS3gWAfDs68Kbmz/s200/IMG_2897.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264899940425382930" border="0" /></a><br />I knew this day was coming with 2 boys close in age. Just didn't think it would sneak up on me this fast. Don't let those faces Theo's making fool you. He is loving every minute of it and often instigates the matches. Jack is pretty good (for now) about stopping when told and not being too rough. (Those days are numbered). He is a bit too fond of laying on Theo's face, particularly, and pulling blankets over him. This is when I have to step in. I vividly remember struggling to breath while wrestling as a child and it would freak me out. So far no broken bones or stitches (knock on wood) and only minor tears. But, lets just hope I hear those sweet words "it's a girl" on Friday...jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3672635122540417807.post-33467260916134642582008-11-02T16:48:00.000-08:002008-11-03T08:20:21.413-08:00Halloween<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjsmVPoltDNBRZj8Oc0HqC85b4NjbDdzNKJudJbYZCgS390kRRge2dYmzYqAm8OVcQfZxiHJS3Q0WZisWEfzJFaDHpTK34WC16qr9S8YPHPLOdHAUpJ_vKSdrP7AR48USt9uhePisPlbRO/s1600-h/SuperStock_48-95A-1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 156px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjsmVPoltDNBRZj8Oc0HqC85b4NjbDdzNKJudJbYZCgS390kRRge2dYmzYqAm8OVcQfZxiHJS3Q0WZisWEfzJFaDHpTK34WC16qr9S8YPHPLOdHAUpJ_vKSdrP7AR48USt9uhePisPlbRO/s200/SuperStock_48-95A-1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264227498689670466" border="0" /></a><br />As you can see, we had tons of fun on this Halloween trick-or-treating with our friends! What do you mean those aren't my children? or our friends? Yeah, so we had camera difficulties ie: couldn't find it, and yeah I'm basically an unfit mother to not capture their adorable faces all dressed up and hungry for C-A-N-D-Y!! We really did have a great time, though. Jack was out of his shell thanks for his morally supportive and extra-friendly side-kick Anabelle. He had no qualms marching up to the door, saying "trick or treat" and "thank you". Theo was a trooper with his over-stuffed pumpkin costume looking like an Oompa-Loompa/ that kid in his snow suit on A Christmas Story. He certainly had a death-grip on his candy bag, walked right into several houses, took more than his share if offered the bowl, and said "bye-bye" to everyone. I learned that "ya-ya" menas candy in his language. It was a great time. Jack keeps checking that to make sure that Halloween will indeeed come again and that now that's it's over doesn't mean it's done forever. A year is a long time to wait though! Atleast we have Christmas to look forward to...<br /> But, just to prolong it a bit I made some Frankenstein brains for dinner the day after and for the first time didn't have to bribe Jack to eat his broccoli or meatballs. His new chore, however, is to take out the garbage. He takes the sidewalk to the end then rounds the corner, opens the dumpster and tosses it in. I think he likes the independence of it as I let him go alone. This is no easy task for me as he is out of my view for about 30 seconds as he goes around the corner. He looks so grown-up. Of course there is a chore chart with incentives as he fizzles out of things quickly unless there is a reward. I just get a kick out of this bit of independence, look forward to when he is able to help out with more, and feel somewhat <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">melancholy</span> that my little boy is growing up.jennahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16638889938486173330noreply@blogger.com2
